Fueled by anger and guilt, Daksha, the Prajapati, cursed Chandra to lose his luminosity, the very essence of his existence. The curse plunged Chandra into gradual darkness, a fate that invoked sorrow among the celestial beings.


Appeal for Redemption:

Revati, Rohini, and the daughters, witnessing Chandra's diminishing radiance, pleaded for his redemption. Their prayers took them to Prabhas Patan in Gujarat, where the divine vibrations resonated.


Maha Mrityunjay Mantra and Lord Shiva's Grace

To break the shackles of Daksha's curse, the distressed wives and Chandra sought refuge at Somnath Jyotirlinga. United in prayer, they chanted the potent Maha Mrityunjay Mantra, invoking the divine intervention of Lord Shiva, the harbinger of cosmic balance.
